Preparing for the Interview
You've just found out that you have an
interview with a company you're really
interested in working for. You want to make
the best impression you possibly can at the
interview. But how can you best prepare for
the interview?
First of all, do your research and find
out as much about the company and the job
you are applying for as you possibly can.
Does the company have a web site? If so,
this is a terrific starting point that
provides a wealth of information about the
company's products and services, its
corporate mission and culture, current
openings and qualities considered valuable
in their employees.
Remember the more you know about the
company, the better prepared you will be for
the interview. And the more prepared you
are, the better you will perform at the
interview.
Try to anticipate the types of questions
you will be asked at the interview and then
formulate your answers to the questions
ahead of time. Try a practice interview with
a friend and ask for constructive feedback.
