Optical Software Inc. - Developer Oct 2001

- Coordinated and managed development
of Optical Software's new, dynamic
website. (www.omics.com)
- Completed front end of a new
software product, “Direct Lab”, (using
Delphi 6) to allow doctors' offices to
send optical prescriptions directly to
Optical Software labs. Advanced to Lead
Developer over the course of the
project. Developed all of the
context-sensitive help files for the
product (using AuthorIT). Delivered the
product on time and met expectations
while also managing other, required
projects.
- Designed and developed a variety of
reports, using Active Data Objects
(ADO). The reports enable physicians to
view formatted data (from an MSAccess
database) with the simple click of a
button.
- Developed and implemented the
project plan for a major release of
Optical Software's flagship
product.
- Developed training materials
(hands-on activities, instructor's
manuals, and participant manuals) for
the company's complex optical-lab
management software. These materials are
used to train the company's largest
clients.

- Built an enterprise-wide project
tracking solution using DB2 Universal

VisualAge for Java, and the Java
Development Kit (JDK).
