Application Engineering Specialist – Harness Your Spirit of Innovation - Fredericton, NB - Fredericton, NB

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Application Engineering Specialiist will play a key role in Inversa’s ongoing success.   As a liaison between our sales/business-development and technical-development teams, you will evaluate development opportunities and customer requests and lead efforts to determine which opportunities are both technically and economically feasible.  You will collaborate with team members to design and deploy new product applications and utilize proven documentation techniques to report and define our product specifications. You will validate new product offerings to ensure that they meet specifications/performance objectives and fit the needs of our clients, and you will introduce the newly developed applications to clients by providing them with the technical expertise they will need to use the new developments successfully.

About You


You are an energetic and motivated Application Engineer with a degree in engineering or science supplemented by at least five years of hands-on experience as an Application Engineer.  You have experience developing and meeting regulatory standards and proven skills in documentation and development of specifications. Additionally, you have above-average communication skills that allow you to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences alike.  Based on your years of experience in the field, you have the necessary tools, judgment, and discretion to realistically evaluate requests and opportunities.  You also have experience using QA/QC processes to test, validate, and document products to ensure that they function as required. You thrive on tackling complex and abstract problems and are a collaborator who is responsive to clients and teammates.

You are proficient in the latest MS Office applications as well as with web-based tools. Experience with non-destructive testing, strong familiarity with industrial facilities, especially in the oil and gas industry, and additional technical/professional credentials are definite assets.
